2. Website Information

The content on this website is provided for general information about our business, mounting options, species, biomes, processes, and services.

While we aim to keep the information accurate and up to date, website content may change from time to time. The information on this website should not be treated as a final quote, binding instruction, legal advice, permit advice, veterinary advice, or export approval.

For service-specific advice, pricing, timing, documentation, permits, or shipping preparation, please contact us directly.

3. Enquiries and Quotes

Submitting an enquiry through this website, WhatsApp, email, or any other platform does not create a confirmed order.

A quote can only be prepared once we have the required information. In some cases, the trophy must be delivered to our facility before an accurate quote can be issued.

We may need details such as:

  • Client name and contact details

  • Animal species

  • Trophy type

  • Required mounting option or service

  • Delivery or collection details

  • Shipping or preparation needs

  • Any other information needed to assess the work

All quotes are subject to confirmation, availability, inspection, and acceptance by Cradle of Man Taxidermy.

4. Booking In Trophies

When trophies are delivered to our facility, they will be booked in under a contract number. Client details, trophy details, and requested services will be recorded.

A visual inspection may be done at the time of booking. Trophies may be marked and tagged to assist with tracking and organisation.

The contract number should be used as a reference when communicating with our office.

5. Deposits and Payment

Work may only begin once the required deposit has been received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

The client is responsible for paying all amounts due before trophies are released, collected, shipped, or handed over.

Cradle of Man Taxidermy may withhold completed work until all outstanding amounts have been paid.

Prices, deposits, payment terms, and accepted payment methods may be confirmed directly with our office.

6. Turnaround Times

Taxidermy work takes time. Preparation, tanning, drying, mounting, finishing, packing, and related stages may vary depending on the service, species, workload, season, drying periods, permit requirements, shipping needs, and factors outside our control.

Any turnaround time provided is an estimate only and should not be treated as a guaranteed completion date unless confirmed in writing.

Clients understand that rushing the process may affect the quality of the final result.

7. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing accurate information, including contact details, trophy details, service instructions, and any information required for permits, documentation, shipping, or legal handling.

The client is also responsible for ensuring that trophies are legally obtained and that any required hunting, transport, export, import, or possession documentation is valid and available where required.

Cradle of Man Taxidermy may refuse to accept or release any trophy if required information, documentation, or payment is missing.

8. Permits, Legal Requirements, and Restricted Species

Certain species may be subject to legal, conservation, permit, veterinary, export, import, or handling requirements.

The client is responsible for complying with all applicable laws and permit requirements. Cradle of Man Taxidermy may assist with guidance or preparation where possible, but the responsibility for legal compliance remains with the client unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We reserve the right to refuse work that we believe may breach any law, permit condition, ethical standard, or industry requirement.

9. Shipping, Dip & Ship, and Tan & Ship

Where shipping preparation, Dip & Ship, Tan & Ship, packing, courier, or export-related services are requested, additional terms, costs, documentation, and third-party processes may apply.

Shipping timelines, customs handling, permits, inspections, courier schedules, and international import processes may be outside our control.

Cradle of Man Taxidermy is not responsible for delays caused by authorities, customs, shipping providers, courier companies, incomplete documentation, unpaid fees, or circumstances outside our control.

10. Collection and Release of Completed Work

Once work is complete, the client will be contacted for collection, final payment, or further arrangements.

Completed trophies will only be released once the account has been settled and any required documentation has been completed.

Upon collection, the client or authorised representative may be required to sign confirmation that the trophies have been received.

11. Storage of Completed Work

If completed trophies are not collected within a reasonable period after notice has been given, storage fees may apply.

Cradle of Man Taxidermy may set reasonable collection deadlines and storage arrangements. These details may be confirmed with the client directly.

12. Natural Variation and Final Results

Taxidermy work depends on the condition of the trophy received, the animal’s natural features, field preparation, skin condition, hair slip, damage, age, prior handling, tanning response, and other factors.

While we take care to produce a high-quality result, the final appearance may vary based on the condition and nature of the trophy.

Clients understand that natural scars, damage, skin condition, horn condition, hair quality, and other physical characteristics may affect the final piece.

13. Photos, Gallery, and Marketing Use

Cradle of Man Taxidermy may photograph completed work, workshop processes, or display pieces for record-keeping, portfolio, website, gallery, or social media purposes.

If a client does not want their trophy, name, or project details shown publicly, they should notify us in writing.

We will not intentionally publish private client details without permission.

14. Intellectual Property

All website content, wording, images, graphics, layouts, logos, service descriptions, and other materials on this website belong to Cradle of Man Taxidermy or are used with permission, unless stated otherwise.

You may not copy, reproduce, publish, edit, sell, or reuse website content without written permission.

You agree not to misuse this website, attempt to interfere with its security, submit harmful code, copy content without permission, or use the website in any unlawful way.

We may restrict access to the website if misuse is suspected.

16. Third-Party Links and Tools

This website may link to third-party websites, maps, social media platforms, review platforms, WhatsApp, Google services, or other tools.

We are not responsible for third-party websites, policies, availability, content, security, or service performance.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Cradle of Man Taxidermy will not be liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss caused by third-party services, shipping delays, customs delays, incomplete client information, missing documentation, or circumstances outside our control.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where the law does not allow exclusion.

18. Changes to Services and Website Content

We may update, change, remove, or add to website content, service descriptions, prices, processes, or these terms from time to time.

The latest version of these terms will be posted on this website.

19. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any dispute will be handled according to South African law and, where needed, through the appropriate South African courts or dispute resolution channels.
